Past, present and future

Hej my friends !

Today is, as you probably know, the last day of 2013 and the beginning of a new year. This past year has been amazing for me, and I hope for you as well. I have met wonderful people in great places (yes, even Nancy is a great city XD) and I miss a lot those who are not with me at the moment. This year has been a year of change and adventures, full of surprises and discoveries. But 2014 is arriving quickly, and we mustn't forget that our lives are in the future, not in the past. So let's celebrate this year's end, the beginning of the new one and think about all the good things to come :)

Morning

I am back in Uppsala for Nytt år as it's called here, and will go to a gasque to celebrate it. A gasque is a traditional student celebration organised by the nations, nearly one every month. It begins with a three course dinner where people drink and sing all together, and followed by a party. During the gasques, students usually wear formal clothes (suits and dress), and sometimes there is a particular theme. This one is Sylvestergask, for the celebration of the new year. I'll let you know how it goes :)

Afternoon

Just after, I'll be going to Lapland, to the far North of Sweden near Norway, for 5 days. It's gonna be great! Imagine, a land full of saunas, reindeers, northern lights ~~and polar bears~~ :-) When I return, I will only have two weeks left here, and I intend to use them as much as possible!

So, I wish you a great New year's eve, a great 2014 and the best of luck for all what is coming! Eat a lot, don't drink too much, watch fireworks and make a "to-do" list for 2014 that, of course, you will not respect XD !
